Josh Cox
50k American Record Holder, Three-time Olympic Trials qualifier, Three-time US National Team Member
"I first tried Newton shoes in February 2008; 11 months later I had a marathon win and an American Record at 50k. Many products make groundbreaking, revolutionary claims but few ever deliver, Newton delivers. Try a pair for a month and you'll see just what I mean." - Josh Cox

Josh Cox, the 50k American Record Holder, is one of the nation's premier distance runners. Cox burst onto the national running scene by winning and setting a course record in a 50-mile ultra marathon at the tender age of 22. When he was 23, he ran his first marathon in 2:19, making him the youngest qualifier for the 2000 US Olympic Marathon Trials. Later that year, Cox blistered the 4th fastest time in the US with a 2:13 clocking at Chicago. Since then, Cox, a three-time Olympic Trials qualifier and three-time US National Team member, has garnered the top US spot at the World Track and Field Championships, graced magazine covers, set American Records, and trained with the world's best. In January of 2009, Cox was named USA Track and Field's Athlete of the Week for shattering the 50k American Record by over 4 minutes at Arizona's Rock 'n' Roll Marathon.
As a TV personality, Cox currently offers his professional perspective as an On-Air personality for Fox Sports and Runner's World. In 2005, Cox starred on ABC's hit reality show, The Bachelorette. In addition to his 140 mile a week training regimen, at his home in Mammoth Lakes, California, Cox is active as a speaker and writer.
