Pete Jacobs
"I love the way Newtons help me run - more efficiently. Perfect technique is the path to running faster, and Newtons are telling me that with every stride." - Pete Jacobs
"When I go for a long, slow, easy run they feel good. Then, when I pick up the pace at the end of that run, and get up more onto my forefoot, they feel amazing!" - Pete Jacobs

Pete Jacobs is one of the worlds best triathlon swimmers, almost always leading out of the water with a gap, anywhere up to 2 minutes, over the field. His personal best Ironman time 8:09:18, for 3rd place at Quelle Challenge Roth in 2007, followed by 2nd place in 2008 shows he also has awesome running ability, and is always off the bike with the main contenders.
Pete's ability and talent has not gone unnoticed by the heavyweights of the sport and he has been named an ambassador for the John Maclean Foundation, an Australian based charity that supports young Australians who use wheelchairs and was founded by Olympian, English Channel swimmer and Hawaii Ironman Hall of Famer John Maclean. Pete's profile and development within the sport helps to drive and maintain the close relationship that John and JMF has with Ironman.
In 2009, Jacobs has won an Australian Title at the long course national championships, and a second unofficial Australian title when he was the first Australian at Ironman Australia, finishing 2nd overall.
Jacobs has several top 5 Ironman finishes, and is going to claim as many Ironman wins as he strengthens with age. At just 27 years old, Pete is already proving himself against his older competitors, and is having his best year ever in 2009.
